Transafric College

Faculty of Information Technology

The Faculty of Information Technology at Transafric College equips students with modern, market‑ready ICT skills for careers in software development, networking, IT support, and digital services. The faculty offers practical, TVET‑aligned programmes such as Certificate in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Diploma in Information Technology, designed to give learners strong foundations in computer systems, programming, networking, and IT troubleshooting.

Teaching is done through a hands‑on, lab‑based approach, where students gain direct experience with hardware, operating systems, office applications, and basic programming tools. The faculty also runs short computer‑packages courses (e.g., Computer Basics, Computer Packages) that are ideal for beginners or working professionals seeking to upgrade their digital skills.

By combining theory, practical projects, and real‑world problem solving, the Faculty of Information Technology prepares graduates to work as computer technicians, IT support staff, junior software developers, data handlers, and office automation specialists across businesses, NGOs, government agencies, and tech startups.
